There is just so much almondy goodness in this recipe it made me very happy. It also kept me going through a 4 hour frisbee training session too so it must be good.
1 large handful of oats
100ml milk (in hindsight almond milk would have made this extra almondy!)
1.5 tsp of ground almonds
1 crunchy apple
1 large teaspoon of almond butter
Cook the oats in a pan with the milk, ground almonds and some water. Add more liquid as you go if required.
While cooking grate half of the apple and add to the oats for the final minute or two of cooking.
Slice the other half of the apple and roughly chop the almonds.
Transfer the porridge to a bowl and top with the apple slices, almonds and almond butter.
