Apple of my Eye – Classic Apple and Cinnamon Porridge

This recipe is another of my go to porridge bowls as it’s super quick and easy to make. 

The pairing of cinnamon and apple is on point and, as with any food, a dollop of peanut butter takes this to the next level of scrumptiousness. 

Make sure you use a deliciously, crisp apple to get a really good crunch. Anyone who know’s me know’s how I feel about fluffy apples but let’s not get into that or I’ll get sad and angry; just make sure your apple is crisp and crunchy!!

Ingredients:

1 large handful of oats

2 tsp of ground cinnamon

1/2 an apple

1 generous tsp of peanut butter

Method:

Add the oats, cinnamon and water to a microwave proof bowl.

Cook for around 2.5-3 minutes, pausing  once or twice to stir the oats and add more liquid if necessary.

While the oats are cooking dice the apple.

Once cooked add the apple, peanut butter and dust with a tad of cinnamon to finish.
